this week has trudged along like an ant through a puddle of molasses. i feel so tired from weekend trips. i feel unorganized and out of control because i've chosen tv over productive housekeeping activities. i feel unmotivated and directionless. but the time and energy that it takes to move in a new direction makes me tired. but i think that's just life. if we do it right, we will be tired and our houses will be messy, right?
and if we do it right, we will also be a part of many wonderful things...we will celebrate with newlyweds, we will travel to other countries, we will visit friends who live far, we will eat and laugh and drink with friends close by, we will start families and turn houses into homes and find jobs that challenge and fullfill us and we will soak up these hot summer days, because sooner than i'd like to admit, they'll be gone.
this summer has been a happy summer, here are just a few of the recent reasons:
talking to Matt on the phone
free food at street festivals
pizza art cafe with Mary
coworkers turning into friends
weddings!
pitchers of margaritas shared on Emily's birthday
new nailpolish
dreaming about my trip to Sweden
free drinks
those moments at work when you remember why you try so hard and it's all worth it :)
getting lost in a new blog
Amy Sherman Palladino - love her new show Bunheads
celebrating new jobs
instagram - haha! but honestly, it makes me happy
free anything
and most of all, BABY RORIE - the pictures below are from her first visit to NPU on thursday (her 3 week bday)
