How Beer Saved the World

Christine came to Chicago on Thursday night and we started off the weekend at Celtic Crown and a couple wrigleyville bars. Even though we tried, we couldn't find green beer :(

On Friday, we watched the Purdue victory at The Waterhouse off the Paulina stop. It was a really fun atmosphere and our table had a perfect TV view.
Then we walked to Higgins Bar on Racine, we probably won't be returners there :)

On Saturday, we hit up two Brewery tours.
First stop was Half Acre and we paid $10 for a glass, and three beer "tickets". It was soo much fun and a very good deal! We reccomend you take your friends.

Do not touch this. It will kill you.

Half Acre is the first Chicago brewery to can their beer.

All of the barrels were labeled with different animals.
The Norwal was our fav.

Gabriel, the founder of Half Acre was so fun!
One of his first sentences during the tour was, "We make beer, package it, and send it out into the world!" Sounds like an admirable mission.

Lindsey, you do look terrific!

Our 2nd stop was Metropolitan Brewing Co.
Doug the owner is here in the "Brew House" giving us the rundown of the beer-making process.
He echoed Gabriel's comments about how you should drink beer as close to the brewery as possible. We couldn't have been any closer.

The weekend came to an end with Christine's dinner request, Buffalo Wild Wings.
Such a fun weekend! Come visit again soon, Christine!
