Baroda, MI

At the end of junior year, we decided to go on a little trip to the Leinenkugel's Brewery in Chippewa Falls, WI. It was such a success, that we planned a second trip before graduation. These two trips will forever be great memories of our Senior Year at North Park!

This second trip brought us to Harbor Country in Michigan. We tasted wine, beer, and vodka. Played on the beach. Built a fire without lighter fluid! And had breakfast with my parents.

First stop was the wine tasting at the Round Barn.
One car was stuck in traffic, so only 6 of us made it to this tasting.

Next, all nine of us reunited for a beer tasting in the Beer Barn.

The main building on the Round Barn estate is actually round.
The owner liked it because legend says that "with no corners, evil spirits can not hide."

Founders Wine Cellar was our third tasting of the day. When we pulled into the parking lot, the girls looked worried (it's not as beautiful as the Round Barn), but they sure warmed up to the place. Jason, Len, and Brian poured generously and let us be ourselves (unlike our first, more serious stop).

Jason even helped us talk Len into giving us a tour of the back.

We wondered why Len told us to bring our glasses on the tour...
free wine straight from the tanks.

Len and his girls!

Time for some food! We headed to St. Joseph for Silver Beach Pizza.

So long Harbor Country!
Although I call this place home, it's still a great place to go for a simple and relaxing getaway.
Next time I'm here, I'll be a COLLEGE GRADUATE!
