This is my favorite street in the world. Commonwealth. Sounds beautiful and looks beautiful. This picture doesn't begin to capture the amazing brownstones lining each side of the street and the elegant parkway in the middle. It also leads right up to the Public Garden which is my FAVORITE!

We walked on a little bit of the Freedom Trail, past the Massachusetts State House, the Common, a Tibetan protest, and the peaceful cemetery where Paul Revere was buried. At the end of the day our Dogs Were Barking!

The T is crazy here! They have big underground citylike platforms and the maps of the different lines look more like tree branches. Thankfully we didn't get lost, but sort of missed the ease and familiarity of the EL.

Dinner at MJ O'Connors was delicious! I don't even think that it was just because we walked around for an hour before finding a suitable place to eat.

Visiting the Bay on the north end of Boston. Oh Rhiannon, I will miss you. Thanks for a great time in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts!

ReplyDeleteThe Boston Chowda place in Quincy Market...
ReplyDeleteMy dad once had a cup of lobster bisque there that made him cry because it was so good. If you don't beleive me ask KVP, he was truly crying!
It was very very good Mary, but no tears were shed. I might have cried if you took it away from me, if that makes your dad feel better. I'd love to live in Boston at some point in my life. Not for at least a year though - its weird to be "tied down" to something.
ReplyDeleteDid you guys make it out to Harvard Square!?
